Donation Lot For Nebraska
In light of the crippling disasters in the great state of Nebraska, Charles W. Herbster, owner of Herbster Angus Farms, is generously donated 100% of Lot X, the IVF Slot to America, in the Herbster Angus Farms Bull Sale held on April 1, 2019 in Marysville, Kansas. The lot was purchased by Linz Heritage Angus, Indiana for $16,000.
The entire purchase price of this special lot went directly to farmers and ranchers in Nebraska through the Nebraska Cattlemen’s Association and the Nebraska Farm Bureau.
“I am saddened by the incredible strife that my fellow Nebraskans are going through with their farms, towns, and livestock. I couldn’t think of a better way to show my support than to donate the proceeds of the incredible IVF opportunity on America. I am hopeful that this great bull can help brighten the future for rural Nebraskans affected by the floods and blizzards last spring,” said Mr. Herbster.
America, the $1.51 million world-record and high-selling lot in the 2019 Schaff Angus Valley Sale, has created quite a stir in the Angus world and on social media. The video of him selling has over seven million views, making him an internet frenzy. America, in the words of Tom Burke, “He’s American-Bred, American-Made, and American-Owned.”

At Herbster Angus Farms, we leave nothing to CHANCE. When we passed GO, we collected something very special, taking a calculated and informed risk not only to improve our program, but also increase the value of our customers’ operations. We
believe the addition of HICKORY HILL ERICA 009 and HICKORY HILL ERICA TA32, the dam and grandam of BUBS SOUTHERN CHARM, are two of the most exciting and untapped resources in the modern Angus business. In addition to the phenomenal
matriarchy of TA32 and 009, we also purchased the current #1 $B daughter of Southern Charm, BUBS RITA 17F. She has a bright future! MONOPOLIZING their efficiency, functionality and numerical superiority is integral to adding breed-leading traits into our already world-renowned herd. Breeding cattle is a game of strategy, and
